AMA collegiate membership is available to any full-time or part-time student (you do not have to be a marketing major) attending a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution of higher learning. The student must be working toward a degree and not be currently employed in a full-time or part-time professional position.
Charleston AMA collegiate member benefits include:
- Exposure to first-rate marketing presenters at monthly luncheons.
- Reduced cost for CAMA luncheons – just $12.
- Exclusive access to internships with CAMA members.
- Monthly CAMA information and upcoming events e-newsletter.
- Notification of all jobs openings available to CAMA members.
- Opportunity to develop a close mentor relationship with a professional marketer.
In addition to the local benefits, collegiate members have access to national resources from AMA headquarters that include:
- Subscription to Marketing News, a leading publication for the marketing industry keeps you abreast of new ideas and developments in marketing, including market research, new product development, marketing communications, direct marketing, distribution and much more.
- Access to the Member Resource Center and Student Members-Only Content on MarketingPower.com.
- Subscription to Collegiate Connection, a newsletter published eight times a year that serves as the primary communication between AMA’s International Headquarters and its collegiate members, featuring articles from recent college graduates, industry news, and career development information.
- Participation in AMA Collegiate Marketing Partners (CMPs) where major corporations can access the best marketing undergraduates.
- Eligibility to renew membership as a professional member at a reduced cost.
Charleston AMA collegiate membership dues are $45.00 annually (dues cover a 12 month period from the date of joining). Download the student membership application. In order to join the local Charleston AMA chapter and receive the local benefits of collegiate membership, be sure to complete the back of the application and add $10 to your membership fee ($52 total membership dues for local and national affiliation).
An additional benefit of collegiate membership includes AMA’s Bridge Membership for new graduates. Upon graduation, collegiate members are eligible to renew as professional members at nearly half the price through the AMA’s Bridge Membership Program. Bridge membership offers the full benefits of professional membership, and is available only to graduates who were AMA Collegiate members. Your collegiate membership actually saves you money later!
