Please join AMA in celebrating Charleston’s best and brightest in the marketing field at our Annual Spark awards this Thursday November 12 at the American Theater on King street. The event will be held at the six to nine p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $25 for members and $40 for nonmembers at www.charlestonama.org. Here are a few fun details about the event.
The MC of the event is Timmy Finch who in addition to being a writer for the Charleston City Paper and a lawyer; he has been voted Charleston’s “Best Local Comic” for the last ten years. He is one of the most notable members of The Have Nots and can be seen regularly at Theater 99. Timmy is one of the funniest guys you will ever meet and we are super excited to have him this year.
Geoff Scott will provide the music for the evening. Geoff has been recording music for the past 15 years and his interesting Reggae, Jazz, Funk and rock mix is sure to entertain you. He is a regular collaborator and leader of many bands, including: Public House, Zion Blood and Miracle Orchestra. I had the pleasure of seeing one of his many collaborations, Club Delf in Athens, GA a number of years back and thoroughly enjoyed the mind blowing show. If DJ Logic, Miles Davis and Bob Marley were able to get together and create a super musician they would name him Geoff. We look forward to seeing you all at this years Spark Awards and are excited to celebrate the creativity and genius of Charleston’s fantastic marketing professionals.
